Trash talk – a visit to an English Theatre
On Monday morning, Year 8 attended an English theatre performance that took place in the cafeteria. We watched a live show in English performed by two actors who travelled through time.
The story began with a popular boy who threw his rubbish on the ground. A girl in his class noticed this and asked him to put it in the bin. When he refused, she told him about climate change- and suddenly the two of them were taken on a journey through time to learn more about it.
The play also included singing and dancing, which made the performance lively and entertaining. It gave us a new way to experience the English language outside the classroom. Overall, it was an interesting and enjoyable opportunity for us to improve our English skills.

Die schauspielerische Leistung von Eva und Andrew war beeindruckend: mit Witz und Übertreibung haben sie ein schweres, belastendes Thema aufgelockert und den Schülern damit einfach zugänglich gemacht. Mit ausdrucksstarker Performance und eindrucksvollen Requisiten unterstützen sie das Verständnis des einsprachigen Theaterstücks. Durch das stets wechselnde Bühnenbild, das sich immer wieder live verändert hat, blieb das Stück abwechslungsreich und ansprechend.
